On it is a ying-yang/음양/陰陽, which represents harmony or the balance of something; for example a chemical equilibrium. As the hydrogen in the Sun is consumed, the Sun will expand more and more, represented by the expanding flames. It will become a Red Giant and engulf the inner planets.
