The Norbert H and Jason M Kluga science, math and engineering blog. Dedicated to the science discussions I would have with my grandfather Norbert and great uncle John and to the artistic influence of my grandmother Lorraine. And most of all, to my late mother who grounded me and nurtured my passion for science, engineering and music.

Diffraction Patterns of Light and Particles
Just as light is scattered after passing through a narrow medium, particles experience the same phenomenon. Miraculously, when a particle is observed is is seen to go through only one diffraction slit even though experimentally it has the same diffraction pattern as if it passed through both slits of a double slit experiment at the same time. A mystery of modern physics.
